Workcamp in France

During the Easter holidays a group of 9 young leaders took part in a 2 week trip to France which was organised in partnership with UNA Exchange and Solidarités Jeunesses.

The group stayed in the village of Vaunières which is located 1,200 metres up in the French Alps. It was an amazing experience for all participants because they got the chance to meet people from many different cultures.

During their time there, they took part in a range of activities and workshops. Their main task was to help build a path and a wall for a disabled ramp, which would give easier access for people in wheelchairs. During their free evenings they spent time getting to know the other volunteers and took part in many different activities including an international party, played cards, board games and spent evenings around a campfire. In their free time, they visited the city of Grenoble, the village Le Fai, which is also part of their host organisation, and joined in the local spring celebrations.
