Grant Poiner
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer I am responsible for all the youth work projects and programmes taking place at BGC Wales, overseeing youth work staff and ensuring that the voice of our dedicated volunteers is heard at various meetings within the sector in Wales.

Apple Tang
Office Manager
My role covers managing the finance of all accounts and administrative work for the organisation, providing business support to all staff, managing and organising the Head Quarter to provide a standard working environment and adequate resources for staff and our work. Managing the operation of the IT System to ensure that we are working in a safer IT environment to Safeguard our data; overseeing the Communication Tasks to ensure information is correct and maintain our visibility to the outside world.

Haydn Rowlands
IT Officer
Hi, I'm Haydn. I work as the IT Officer for the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Wales. My job is to help manage the IT infrastructure and systems for the charity, and make sure that it's all running smoothly. I also help the charity decide on what IT equipment and services to invest in to keep us up to date with the latest tech trends.

Sophie Davies
Student Placement
I am a student on placement with BGCWales. I am currently working at Ystrad Mynach BGC as a youth support worker. I am also involved in the Raise your Voice project to encourage young people to vote and attend the youth forum.

Nils Loesche
ESC Volunteer
I am the current ESC Volunteer at BGC Wales. In the first place I keep an eye on our website and social media. Designing images, graphics and writing stories for our several platforms. A part of my work is it also to deliver workshops and projects to young people.

Ethan Richards
Wellbeing Youth Worker
I am passionate about helping young people, and can’t wait to be up in Blaenau Gwent meeting and working with the young people there. It is such a great opportunity for me to be doing something I love as a job, and I can’t wait to get stuck in!

Jonathan Price
Youth Work Manager
Working for BGC Wales has allowed me to provide support an opportunities to a wide variety of young people both locally and internationally. The future of youth work is always changing and developing and i'm very proud to be part of an orgnisation that embraces that change in order to advocate for the rights and issues that young people face.

Kari Morgan
International Youth Work Project Manager
I am the International Youth Work Project Manager for BGC Wales. I look after our internationally linked and funded projects. BGC has a long history of participating and delivering a variety of international opportunities and projects. I look forward to contributing and continuing this work.

Georgia Davies
Active Inclusion Project Officer
Hi, my name is Georgia and I joined the BGC Wales team in August 2021. I am the new Active Inclusion Project Officer for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. I work with NEET young people aged 16 - 24 to help them gain various skills and provide opportunities for employment.

Leif Thobroe
Wellbeing Centre Manager at the Lodge
I am excited to develop The Lodge to help support and improve young people's lives across Wales. The Lodge offers a safe and relaxing group residential and adventure activities facility, that can accommodate for up to 28 young people and staff. The centre runs wellbeing and mental health, confidence building and mindfulness projects, that aim to support young people and their changing needs in these tough times.

Catherine Lewis
Wellbeing Project Officer
Hi I am Catherine Lewis I have been doing youth work for longer than I can remember and still feel glad to say I enjoy being around young people and supporting them. My role here is the wellbeing officer and I want to help everyone, to feel good about themselves. Looking after your mental health is so important because it affects everything. I run projects and sessions in the Bridgend area and I look forward to meeting you in the future.
