Together, we’re building stronger communities, creating spaces for voices to be heard, and shaping brighter futures - always with young people at the heart of what we do.

This month we’re celebrating progress, pride and possibility. From inspiring moments at our AGM to international adventures in Spain, it’s been a month of connection and confidence. Clubs across Wales continue to grow - with new funding, facility upgrades and exciting plans for the future. We’re proud to launch a new quality assurance project to support voluntary youth clubs, and we’re inviting runners to make their miles matter in 2026. As always, young people are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re excited to keep building brighter futures, together.

This month we’re celebrating connection, achievement, and global impact. From marshmallow toasting at The Lodge and our first ever Cardiff Half Marathon runners, to inspiring moments at the NABGC Centenary Conference, it’s been a busy and brilliant September. We’re proud to spotlight club successes and thrilled to announce an award nomination. As always, our work is driven by young people, and we’re excited to keep building opportunities, confidence, and community across Wales and beyond.

BGC Wales Bulletin June 2025 / Bwletin BGC Cymru Mehefin 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the news of two significant losses to our BGC community. Our Lodge Centre Manager, Dale Davies, tragically passed away while on a climbing holiday in the French Alps. This news has rocked the organisation and our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Dale’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We are also heartbroken to hear that Neil Ellis has passed away. Neil was the inspirational leader of Bettws Boys’ and Girls’ Club and the visionary who led the creation of the Lodge to benefit young people in the community.

They say that Spring is the season of growth and development, and what a month we’ve had here this May. We’re incredibly proud of everything our young people have taken part in and achieved!
