Taith is Wales’ international learning exchange programme. Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales have been involved with Taith since its inception. In November, we hosted Nick and Annie from Yellowstone County BGC in Montanna. This is an exciting new partnership that we are developing, and it was so good to be able to spend time with them showing off Wales. We were able to share Welsh Culture, visit Welsh Youth Clubs and discuss exciting possibilities for future work together.

Fantastic to have the BGCwales Girls U15s and U17s off to Spain this week for their exchange. They have been taking part in a range of cultural activities and playing teams from all over Europe. We hope you are as excited as we are! 😆🏆🌍✈️

We had 12 participants coming from 4 different countries. We will be hosting Sports & Leadership Academy (USA), Club de Niños y Niñas de México, Boys' and Girls' Clubs of South Africa and Youth Challenge Africa (Rwanda).

We had 12 participants coming from 4 different countries. We will be hosting Sports & Leadership Academy (USA), Club de Niños y Niñas de México, Boys' and Girls' Clubs of South Africa and Youth Challenge Africa (Rwanda).

Whilst some BGC Wales staff, volunteers & young people have been busy in Germany on a Taith youth exchange project, we have been joined in Wales by leaders from Escola Pia Salt, Catalonia.

Whilst some BGC Wales staff, volunteers & young people have been busy in Germany on a Taith youth exchange project, we have been joined in Wales by leaders from Escola Pia Salt, Catalonia.

Our 12 days were jam packed with activities and workshops. The group took part in a variety of activities ranging from team games, water skiing, high ropes, city visits, and cultural workshops. It's safe to say that there was never a dull moment.

U15s team who have recently returned from a cultural exchange with partners in Germany. The team undertook some team building activities, developed friendships with the German group but they also got to play two games.

This is happening in June in Essex for an adventure weekend (Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June). This would mean that the young people participating would miss a day of school, however we would be able to provide a letter of explanation to their schools explaining the opportunity.

In May this year we will be taking part in the NABGC 100 Mile Canoe Test. We will be going away for 4 days over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May, canoeing the River Wye.
